Key Contributions:
The Account Manager supports the sales team (producer, key account manager) and services and retains a book of business for a defined set of clients. Responsibilities also include assisting the Producer in managing the client’s exposure to risk by coordinating services for the development, retention, and rounding of accounts.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Serves as the primary point of contact for clients
Builds and maintains relationships with group contacts, carrier contacts, and internal staff to facilitate coordination of services on behalf of the client
Supports the sales objectives of the organization through up-selling/account rounding on in-force coverages
Works with clients, carriers and other colleagues to resolve claims, billing, administration and other issues on a timely basis
Identifies problems and develops strategic solutions
Informs and educates clients about plan coverage, changes, exclusions & insurance coverage needs
Conducts the renewal and new business marketing efforts, including reviewing quote comparisons for accuracy & completeness and working with Producers to finalize the group’s plan decisions
Creates and distributes benefit enrollment materials
Conducts and/or assists producer with on-site meetings
Verifies completion of new group installation and group renewals and updates rate histories as needed
Maintains updated and accurate group plan and account data in the agency’s data management system

Qualifications:
College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
Appropriate insurance license
Minimum of two (2) years of agency or insurance company experience
Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to communicate effectively with clients
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Projects professional appearance and manner
Self-starter
High attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Flexible
