SCOPE:
As a dedicated member of the ASIFCU team always searching for and being open to new ways in which the credit union can be of service to its members. Perform a variety of tasks within the assigned branch that promotes the economic development of the communities that ASI serves by providing cost effective financial services for the benefit of our members who are our primary focus.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Conducts daily business interactions and maintains constant alignment with ASI mission, culture and core values. Encourages others to act with mission, culture and core values in mind at all times. Initiative and judgment are required in the absence of specific direction from management. Ensures value through decision making that supports credit union goals and interests.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Assist with the financial affairs of the organization and with preparation of budgets and financial analyses of operations including interim and final financial statements.
Oversee the activities of the Accounting Department for the accurate and timely preparation of daily and monthly account reconciliation.
Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; providing constant performance feedback; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Oversee disbursement activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value.
Respond to management as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate the financial needs.
Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
Maintains a current and thorough understanding of the credit union’s products and services, policy and procedures manual, and any laws or regulations impacting the departments.
Responsible for communicating this information to department staff on a regular basis, and ensuring their compliance.
Communicates to members’ credit union policies and procedures, information on available products and services, and resolves member problems or questions in an intelligent and professional manner.
Performs budget vs. actual analysis on a monthly basis.
Assists with the preparation of the Branch Financial Analysis.

Performs such tasks as may be assigned by his/her supervisor, which is commensurate with the position.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance, is required and MBA or CPA preferred, and a minimum of five years’ experience with all aspects of accounting.
Ability to utilize various software packages including Excel and Word.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the credit union positively to others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A high level of analytical skills and strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking working knowledge.
2 Years Supervisory experience preferred.
